It’s simple, it’s classic, it’s sporty luxury at its best – the 2018 Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic
2018 was a marquee year for Jaeger-LeCoultre. It saw the revival of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection and also introduced us to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Automatic.
To know about the journey of JLC Polaris collection & how the 2018 re-introduction is an important part of watchmaking history, head to our ‘Vault’ section detailing this here.
The defining features
The JLC Polaris Automatic is the definitive watch from this collection.
Its design features a two-crown layout where one is used for time setting and one for the inner rotating bezel.
The inner rotating bezel is a unique feature on this one; think a dive watch such as the Rolex Submariner but dressier and without the chunky outer bezel.
This bezel simplifies the act of tracking elapsed time and makes the watch stand out.
The high quality finishing on this sports watch lends it a classy touch.
The dial is a beautiful display of three treatments – sunray, grained and opaline. When viewed in person, it simply shines through as a watch that’s got many faces.
JLC Polaris Automatic features interchangeable straps on a folding buckle, or you can choose to wear it on a three-link bracelet as well.
