Sneak Peek: Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Rainbow 39
The 2020 Spirit of Big Bang Rainbow 39 in satin-finished and polished 18K king gold case and set with 164 coloured gemstones (reference: 665.OX.9910.LR.0999) marks Hublot’s entry into the ladies watch department in this new year.
The movement — HUB1710 — used is a self-winding movement with a date window 6’o clock and comprises of 185 components & beats at the frequency of 4Hz (28’000 A/h) allowing for a decent 50 hour power reserve.
The watch face shows the functions of hours, minutes, seconds and date on a polished 18K King gold dial set with 431 coloured gemstones. This dial is where the beauty and magnificent of the rainbow really comes through. If you look closely at the dial, the gemstones sit so neatly on the gold backdrop that it looks someone has sewed them onto the dial; it’s almost surreal and unreal. The hour markers are gold with lume in-fill, and so are the hands (but with partial lume).
The bezel is polished 18K king gold and is set with 62 baguette-cut coloured gemstones with iconic 6 H-shaped titanium screws. It blends with the case and dial face.
The case-back is satin-finished 18K king gold and sapphire crystal.
It comes on cool and unique black rubber and multi-coloured alligator strap on 18K king gold and black-plated stainless steel deployant buckle clasp.
The water resistance is a good — 100m (10 ATM) — on this one. This means you can take it to the beach with you, wear it while playing light water sports like water polo, light swimming at the beach, quick shower and while washing your hands.
Cost of these watches is a whopping: 130,000 AUD.
