The movement — GP09400-1128 — used is a self-winding mechanical movement and comprises of 260 components & beats at the low frequency of 3Hz (21’600 A/h) allowing for a good (minimum) 60 hour power reserve.
The dial shows the functions of hours, minutes, small seconds, and a hours, tourbillon on a transparent dial.
The ‘Dauphine’ type white gold hands are skeletonized and filled with luminescent material. (Please see our detailed review here for more info).
The case-back is what Girard-Perregaux calls sapphire crystal ‘box, and is essentially a window to see the beauty of the movement.
It comes on a grey fabric strap with a metallic effect and hand-stitching.
The water resistance is a low — 30m (3 ATM) — on this one. This means it is not recommended for swimming or showering. You can perhaps wash your hands with it on though, but for its cost, we wouldn’t risk it.
