The Dial

The watch face shows the traditional functions of hours, minutes and seconds and is covered by a scratch-resistant, domed sapphire crystal with antireflective coating.

The dial is where most of the magic for this watch occurs.

This lacquered British racing green-coloured dial features a “grainé” hour ring and sun-ray finishes.

Complementing these finishes are the 18K yellow gold-coated applied Arabic numerals and dots as indexes, and the 18K yellow gold-coated luminescent bent dauphine hour & minute hands along with 18K yellow gold-coated bent baton seconds hand.

To complete this vintage look, the watch comes on a British racing green-coloured Sfumato alligator-skin strap from the Richemont Pelletteria in Florence with an 18K yellow gold pin buckle.

Watch Ya Gonna Do About It?

The new 2020 watch release Montblanc Heritage Automatic is a stunning dress watch.

Given that the watches are not limited edition, they are something that Montblanc fans, or even people who love vintage watches, can check out at their own pace and see if this is the right option for them.

That combination of green and gold is not only classic but elegant to the max.

The combination is further enhanced by yellow gold details on the dial such as the hands and indexes mentioned above. The most striking feature of this watch is the legibility of the dial.

The dial is clean, uncluttered and can be admired even from a distance. With the  light playing magic on the sun-ray green dial, and the gold harping back to the wonders of the golden age, this one is not to be missed by any serious watch collector.

The watch is a daily wearable watch size coming in at 40x11mm. It will fit comfortably under the cuff, but given its high-end look, is probably more suited for a formal affair.
