What Is It
Presenting the new Hamilton PSR Black Digital Quartz in a 40.8mm x 34.7mm x 13.3mm stainless steel case with black PVD coating and 100m water resistance.
Inside the new Hamilton PSR “beats” a digital quartz movement that helps display that rad red LCD & OLED hybrid display.

Why & When
Hamilton is not one to shy away from flipping the status quo once in a while; not only did the brand launch the world’s first electric watch in 1957, they also introduced the first LED digital watch in 1970 (aka the Hamilton Pulsar). And ever since its inception, the Hamilton PSR has been the embodiment of futuristic-yet-retro-but-always-cool watches.
Retailing for 995 USD or ~1’375 AUD, it was first announced in February 2022.

Who Is The Hamilton PSR Black For
For someone who likes cool stuff and doesn’t want the hassle of maintaining a mechanical timepiece, but also doesn’t wish to compromise on quality and visual aesthetics.

How Does The Hamilton PSR Black Do
The Swiss quartz crisis had some silver lining moments. One of them was the now iconic Hamilton PSR.
Not just quartz, certainly not mechanical, but a futuristic (for 1970s) cool digital timepiece. And you know what? It’s still pretty damn cool even today.

Featuring a PVD coated case with matching stainless steel bracelet with black PVD coating, it’s main selling point is of course the bright red dot matrix display.
Brutally black, and overtly legible, the new Hamilton PSR Black Digital Quartz is anything but dull.
