The New Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro In A Nutshell

Whilst we have already covered a part of Panerai’s latest releases in their Submersible QuarantaQuattro range here, four other references have been announced, each with their own charms. eSteel or regular stuff, when it comes to Panerai, it’s hard to not be impressed.

And I figure you are thinking to yourself right now, ‘she must be getting paid to praise Panerai’. Well, you would be wrong. We are fully independent and don’t do sponsored posts. Truth be told, I always found Panerai watches to be bulky and too masculine, until my husband and I went for a Panerai photoshoot and I laid eyes on the Radiomir Eilean PAM 1243. Panerai watches really have to be tried on in person to appreciate their charm and they really have grown on me.

The best feature about the new Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro has got to be the new 44mm sizing given it sits between the existing 42mm and 47mm models. There is of course more to them than just the sizing, but given they are very similar to Panerai’s other 2022 novelties we have recently covered, why repeat? You can read more about our Panerai coverage here. I do also like that they have colour matched the date wheel to the dial colour and the 15, 30, 45 markings are sloped on the bezel giving it a more tectonic quality. That Submersible QuarantaQuattro Carbotech™ is my pick of these models, considering the high contrast legibility and the textures of the material.

Basic Specs

The new Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro features a 300m water-resistant 44mm diameter stainless steel case (Carbotech case for the PAM01232) with a lug-to-lug spacing of 54mm.

Inside the new Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro reference PAM01232 (Carbotech), PAM01391 (Luna Rossa), PAM01226 and PAM01229 ticks the P.900 calibre which is an automatic mechanical movement measuring 28.2mm x 4.2mm. The movement comprises of 171 components, 23 jewels, and beats at the frequency of 4Hz (28’800 A/h).

Quotable
