The New Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time In A Nutshell
Following the launch of the Baume and Mercier Hampton 10641 “Hommage à Pierre Soulages”, the brand now announces more colourways and variations to the Hampton family, with both mechanical and quartz movements.
And while the Baume and Mercier Hampton 10641 was a limited and numbered edition of 102-pieces only featuring a dial that echoed one of Pierre Soulages paintings that was encased inside a DLC coated stainless steel, the new Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time for 2022 is a regular production model that is both daily wearable and versatile. And now that world is beginning to step outside its front yard, it is also travel ready.
The new Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time features a 50m water-resistant 48mm x 31mm x 11.1mm stainless steel case and is announced as part of the Watches & Wonders 2022 that runs from March 30 to April 5 (both online and at the Salon).
It’s for those who would like to have a neatly designed timepiece that’s both elegant and practical.

The most striking feature about the new Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time is the artful mix of Art Deco styling with contemporary nuances.
Basic Specifications Of The New Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time
Inside the new Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time ref. M0A10666 ticks the Soprod TT651 which is an automatic movement that is based on the standard ETA 2892-A2. It features an additional 12 hour hand, comprises 21 jewels, beats at the frequency of 3Hz (21’600 A/h), and provides with a 42-hour power reserve.
The movement is decently decorated as well, featuring circular-grained bridges, a sand-blasted and snailed baseplate, and a rotor with “Côtes de Genève” decoration.

Our Thoughts On The New Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time 10666
The star of the new Baume and Mercier Hampton watches for 2022 is the ref. M0A10666. It is the darker coloured counterpart of the existing Baume and Mercier Hampton 10523.
Anyone who has read any reviews would attest that I am partial to big-dates as a complication, and the Baume and Mercier Hampton Large 10666 features a prominent large date aperture at 12. I also prefer this release as it also incorporates dual-time display, with a second time zone display and day-night indicator located at 6. As an architect, I also appreciate the design and the symmetric balance of the dial, and also the three-dimensional effect created by raised rhodium-plated appliqués and the use of opaline and grained slate textured dial.
In addition to the new Baume and Mercier Hampton Dual Time, the brand has also announced a mechanical time-only version ref. M0A10672 with opaline and grained silver dial and riveted black ruthenium Arabic numerals and indexes, and two quartz version ref. M0A10671 with a striking blue dial and ref. M0A10670 with an opaline silver dial. Some of these are available on a 1950s-style polished and satin-finished tight weave Milano mesh strap that further elevates the charm.
